Kristine Mary Cahill Kelleher

Sep 20, 2024

Kristine Mary Cahill Kelleher, 73, of Nashua, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Lynn, MA, daughter of the late John G. Cahill and Rita (Curris) Cahill. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick Kelleher, who passed away September 18, 2023. They were married on August 23, 1981, in Topsfield, MA and spent 42 wonderful years together.

Kristine was a dedicated and loving teacher at Amherst Street Elementary School in Nashua for many years. She adored watching her students learn and grow. Prior to becoming a teacher, she spent much of her time at the school as a parent, volunteer and a paraprofessional. She also loved sharing her magic with her Ohana at The Disney Store at the Merrimack Premium Outlets from the time the store opened in 2012, until it closed in 2021.

Kristine was the epitome of kindness. She shared her love and joy wherever she went. In her free time, Kristine enjoyed crocheting blankets, hats and other projects to donate. For many years at Christmas, her students received handmade hats. She loved to support inclusive charities and businesses, and actively contributed to her community whenever possible. Kristine also enjoyed reading, watching The Price is Right and Disney movies, ending afternoons chatting and having coffee with her friends, taking family trips to Walt Disney World, and spending time with her beloved grandson, Owen.

She is survived by her daughter Courtney, husband Jeffrey Ortiz, and their son Owen of Plymouth, MA; her daughter Megan and husband Michael Huffman of Spotsylvania, VA; her siblings Kathleen and her husband Walter Willwerth, Bill Cahill and his wife Jennifer, Maureen and her husband Jim Farren, Eileen Cahill, Barbara and her husband Shawn Quigley, John Cahill and his wife Paula; many beloved nieces and nephews, and her amazing angel, Lynn Rodon-Boldeia.

Kristine was always so truly grateful for and appreciative of her amazing friends, family, doctors and nurses who helped her through the hardest of times. In her honor, we should all remember to be kind to everyone.
