Roland E. Henderson

Roland E. Henderson, 81, passed away on August 22 in St. Augustine, FL. He is the beloved husband of Susan Lavoie with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Roland was born in Nashua, NH on February 25,1943, the oldest son of Ernest and Frances (Mycue) Henderson. He was a 1961 graduate of Nashua Senior High School.

Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed painter in Kissimmee and Atlantic Beach, FL. He was a jack-of-all-trades and was always ready to give a helping hand to friends and relatives.

Roland enjoyed photography and loved to travel and talk to people from the areas he traveled to. He was a social butterfly. He traveled to England, Scotland, the Mediterranean, Canada, and most of the U.S. states including Alaska and Hawaii.

In addition to his wife Sue, he is survived by his son Scott Henderson of St. Augustine, FL; his daughter Stacey and husband Eric Dory of Davenport, FL; his grandson Tannis Dory and wife Olivia and his great-granddaughter, Freyja Dory of Auburndale, FL; his granddaughter Alexia Dory of Davenport, FL; his brother Donald Henderson and wife Jacqueline; his sister Sandra Netto, all of Nashua, NH; his sister Terry Shea and her partner James Cote of Derry, NH; and many nephews, nieces and cousins throughout the country.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law Richard Netto.

Roland will be greatly missed. May he travel in peace.
