Robert L. “Bob” Lamarche

Robert L. “Bob” Lamarche, 87, longtime resident of Merrimack, NH, passed away on August 21st, 2024, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH after a period of declining health.

Born and raised in Lowell, MA on December 28th, 1936, one of nine children to the late Gerard and Rejeanne (Turcotte) Lamarche. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army where he earned his GED and actively served during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Merrimack in 1969.

Bob worked at different jobs over the years, until finding his work family at Rochette Oil where he was a Service Technician for many years up until his retirement in 2009. Outside of work, Bob enjoyed travelling to visit his family, especially his grandchildren and was an avid New England sports fan.

Bob was pre-deceased by his daughter Susan T. Lamarche. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by six of his siblings, Emile, Norman, Richard and Lucien Lamarche, Lucille Parent and Teresa Allen.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 65 years, Jacqueline Lamarche; two sons, Robert Lamarche and his wife Donna and Dennis Lamarche; three daughters, Cheryl Lamarche, Wendy McDermott and her husband Michael and Dawn Wrenn; eleven grandchildren, Courtney White, Joshua and Chase Lamarche, Zachary, Elijah, Luke and Avery Moore, Maille and Meredith McDermott, Justin and Olivia Wrenn; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Finnegan and Claire Craig along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, from 4-7 PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 18th at 10 AM with burial to follow at Last Rest Cemetery.
