Dennis Airoldi

Dennis Airoldi, 69 of Durham, NC, passed away with his wife by his side. Days leading up to his passing he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nashua, NH to Roland and Gisele Airoldi. He attended Nashua schools and later went onto proudly serving our country in the US Army cooking for Generals and other prestigious dignitaries. He worked most of his professional life in the manufacturing field with his expertise in quality control.

Dennis was a talented golfer and enjoyed playing on weekends with his wife Joanne achieving three holes in ones. During his recent retirement, he took advantage of the time and regularly shot a 10 handicap.

Beyond the golf course, Dennis loved to cook and garden and was in awe of the Hummingbirds that played upon his flowers. If he was behind the grill or at the stove, you could anticipate a flavorful creation to enjoy. Dennis was a lover of all sports and was know mostly for his love of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was always smiling, full of life and enjoyed playing pranks on anyone and he was known for telling a good joke.The constant thread that ran throughout his life was his dedication and devotion to his family. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, Alyza, Kayla and Izabella.

He is predeceased by his father Roland, brother Michael and son Christopher. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joanne Airoldi, daughter Corie Oswald and her husband Sean, mother Gisele, sisters Sue, Nicole and her husband David, brothers Steven and wife Chantal, Gary and wife Donna and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dennis’ name to First Tee through the Professional Golfers Association.

In memory of Dennis, a celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
