Jeannette M. (Malloy) Roy

Apr 26, 2024

Jeannette M. (Malloy) Roy, 86, passed away peacefully after an unexpected illness on Tuesday, April 23rd. She was born on September 23, 1937, in Berlin, NH to the late Walter and Mamie (Coulombe) Malloy. She is the beloved wife of Lucien O. Roy with whom she shared 67 wonderful years of marriage.

Jeannette received her education at Notre Dame High School in Berlin, NH, graduating with the class of 1955. Most of her career was spent as a customer service representative at Verizon and the Nashua Trust Company.

In her free time, Jeannette liked baking pastries, making beautiful stained-glass art pieces and knitting. She enjoyed her bi-weekly card games with her close friends. Most importantly, she treasured the time spent with her immediate family and looked forward to the annual get-togethers with her siblings and extended family.

In addition to her husband, Lucien, Jeannette is survived by her daughter Sandra (Roy) Goddard and her husband Rand, daughter-in-law Debra (Gahagan) Roy, sisters, Mona Landers, Sally Drouin and her husband Paul, brothers, Norman Malloy and his wife Kathy, George Malloy and his wife Theresa, brothers-in law Victor Roy and his wife Jeanne, Gerard Roy and his wife Janet, Maurice Roy and his wife Louise. Jeannette is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah (Roy) Decarteret and her husband Greg, Kathleen (Roy) Cullen and her husband Derrick, Christine Roy, Stacie (Goddard) Mahair and her husband Eric, and Melody Goddard. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren Nathan and Lia Decarteret, Aubrey and Clara Cullen and Amelia Mahair, plus several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her in laws, Ovila and Rosilda (Hamel) Roy, her brothers-in law Roger Roy and Peter Landers, her grandson Master Sargent Robert L. Roy, granddaughter Jacqueline E. Roy, her nieces Susan (Landers) Miller, Paula Drouin and her godson Jay Drouin, in addition to several aunts and uncles.

While our family mourns the loss of Jeannette (Mem), we are comforted in knowing that she will be escorted to her eternal life in heaven by her son Michael W. Roy who also left this earth on April 23rd, just 4 hours after his Mom.

Family and friends are invited to Jeannette’s visitation on Monday, April 29th from 5 PM to 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, April 30th at 10 AM in St. Louis Church, 52 W. Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
