Armand E. LeBlanc Sr.

Armand E. LeBlanc Sr., 95, almost lifelong resident of Merrimack, NH died on Tuesday April 23, 2024, at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born in Concord, MA on August 12, 1928, a son of the late Armand S. and Lena (Fournier) LeBlanc.

Armand’s family moved to Merrimack when he was 6 years old and attended Merrimack schools. He then went in the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict in Germany. When he came back, he married Ilse and began a pig farm on their property in Merrimack.

Before retirement, Armand was a sheet metal fabricator and had worked for Merrils Metals, Nightingale Roofing and Browns Metal shop, and retired from Greenfield Industries in Amherst in (year).

In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by his wife of 60 years, Ilse A. LeBlanc, a son Armand E. LeBlanc Jr., and a daughter Cynthia MacKenzie, all who died in 2015, and a sister Alice McCann.

Members of his surviving family include a daughter, Jennifer Beinhaur of (town) VT; a son Jeffrey LeBlanc of Merrimack, NH; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers Raymond LeBlanc and his wife Suzanne of Jaffery, NH, and Robert LeBlanc of Merrimack, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday May 1 2024 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Rivet Funeral Home, located at 425 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, NH. With a funeral service to follow at 12. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Reed Cemetery in South Merrimack.

Per the family’s request, memorial contributions may be made out to the Community Hospice House, located at 7 Executive Park Dr., in Merrimack, NH or to the American Cancer Society.
