Nancy Lou Borski

Apr 22, 2024

Nancy Lou Borski, 87 of Nashua, NH, passed on April 20, 2024 in the comfort of her family, friends, and caretakers at The Hunt Community.

Nancy was born on July 7, 1936 in Churchtown, PA, daughter of the late James and Mary McComsey. She attended school in Coatesville and received her B.A. in music education from West Chester University in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Prior to coming to Nashua, Nancy was very involved with music and sang in several jazz bands, taught piano lessons and was a substitute teacher. She was also involved in pageantry where she was Miss Runner Up in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant in 1956. She came to Nashua with her then husband, Gerd H. Laudien, where she taught as a second grade teacher before assuming her 30 plus year tenure at Fairgrounds Elementary School in Nashua.

In 1976, Nancy married George Borski where together they were actively involved in the Nashua Country Club and the First Church of Nashua where she served on several committees and was a deacon.

While Nancy’s several passions included golf, gardening, and charity work, her love of music and family drove her life. She was an accomplished musician and vocalist, having sung in many choirs to include the First Congregational Church where she was often a featured soprano soloist. She founded the “Choraliers,” in 1959, an acapella singing group that sang throughout New England and was frequently featured in several local newspapers. Additionally, she was a member of the “Actor Singers” of Nashua, and for a period of time, she directed the children’s choir at First Church. A devoted mother and grandmother, Nancy loved her two daughters, Lori and Heidi and her only grandchild, Hollis, with all of her heart. They were her biggest passions in life and as she was often heard saying, “her reason to live.”

Nancy is survived by daughter Lori and husband Geoff Ziebart, daughter Heidi Laudien and partner Louis Guglielmo, and granddaughter Hollis Laudien Sklaw; her stepchildren Karen Cap, Kenneth and wife Nancy Borski, Kathryn Costa, and Karl and wife Tanya Borski and their families. She is predeceased by her second husband, George Borski, her first husband Gerd H. Laudien, her father and mother, James and Mary McComsey and sisters, Yvonne Sutherland and Dolores McComsey.
