Elizabeth Ann Takacs

Apr 9, 2024

Our mother, Elizabeth Ann Takacs, known to many as Liz, passed away in her longtime home on April 6, 2024, in Nashua, NH, after 68 years. Born in Boston MA, on May 2, 1956, Liz had a vibrant spirit and a zest for life. She was a hard-working member of the community known well for her relentless work ethic and talented seamstress skills. She joins her husband Ted Takacs who passed away in August of 2013.

As we bid her farewell, we remember a life as colorful and enduring as her cherished memories. Liz was a caregiver type personality who touched many souls. To know Liz was to love her.

She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love, a testament to a life that was well-lived.

She fought cancer for over 6 years with the same strong will and steadfast tenacity that all who knew her came to expect. Never one to give up or slow down, she fit a lot of life into those 6 years. She remarried and traveled. She went to concerts and her husband’s gigs. Even with a lung and three-quarters, she could laugh out loud daily. She was an unforgettable lady, and she left an indelible mark on our lives as well as many others.

Liz is survived by her husband Jose “Ivan” Campos, her children Angela Tsames, Nicholas Tsames, and Julie Takacs, her granddaughter Kaleigh Takacs, her mother Theresa Chancholo, her sister Kathy Leslie and her family, and her Brothers Frank Chancholo and Robert Chancholo and their families.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Gautami Rao at Foundation Hematology/Oncology, and Chrissy and Jen for spending many nights watching over our mom.

To honor Liz’s memory, we are holding a celebration of their life on a date still TBD by family in Nashua. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and to remember her wonderful and impactful life. We also ask donations be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of the family’s choosing.
