Joseph William Wood

Joseph William Wood, 86, of Nashua, died Monday, March 25, 2024. He was born March 20, 1938, in Lowell, Massachusetts to the late George F. Wood, Sr. and Winifred (Moran) Wood. Joseph is survived by his loving spouse, Barbara Joan (Corson) Wood, whom he wed on December 6, 1958.

Joseph attended Lowell High School, as well Daniel Webster College, before serving in the US Army and eventually in the New Hampshire National Guard. He went on to work at Sanders/BAE as an Engineering Assistant.

He was an active member of the Nashua Jaycee’s and won “Jaycee Of The Year” in 1972 and 1973. He also loved Gardening, Reading, Swimming and Snorkeling.

In addition to his loving wife, Barbara, Joseph is survived by his sons, Tim Wood of Nashua, NH and Joseph Wood and his wife Linda, of Anderson, SC, as well as four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Joseph’s sisters, Barbara and her husband Raymond Bellerose and Winifred (Winny) Casale. He is also survived by his cherished friends Lenny and Jonie Leone, as well as Denise Kazuk (Dee)

Beside his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his brother Robert and George, his sister Patsy, and his sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Robert Crevier.
