Mary J. Beaulieu

Mary J. Beaulieu, 94, died peacefully on Thursday evening, March 14, 2024 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry P. Beaulieu with whom she shared 30 years of marriage.

Mary was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 2, 1929 and was the daughter of the late John F. and Mary J. (Cosgrove) Sullivan. She attended schools in the Westford, MA School System and continued her higher education attending and graduating from Nashua Memorial Hospital School of Nursing with her diploma in Nursing.

Her career of working as a registered nurse included private duty nursing as well as working twelve years in St Joseph’s Hospital ICU, eight years in St. Joseph’s Hospital Rehab Unit and lastly working for Dr. Raymond King for 15 years until her retirement at 81 years of age.

In her free time she enjoyed reading, playing Bridge and shopping. She is remembered by many as being self-less, caring and humble. And a strong Patient Advocate.

Mary is survived by her three children, Beth Beaulieu Yochum, Philip J. Beaulieu, and Ann Beaulieu Gauthier; her seven grandchildren, Kristin Yochum, Peter Yochum, Nancy Burkett, Alex Gauthier, Brad Beaulieu, Douglas Beaulieu, and Sarah Beaulieu. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren, Ian Burkett, Jenna Burkett, Evan Burkett, Brielle Gauthier, Carson Gauthier, Wesley Gauthier, and Calvin Yochum; her siblings, Helen Hennessey and Claire Mannheim as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Mary was predeceased by her daughter Joan Beaulieu as well as her siblings, John F. Sullivan, George T. Sullivan, and Margaret Sullivan Tebbets.

Private interment services will be held on FRIDAY, March 22nd at 10:30 AM in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to the Nashua Soup Kitchen and the Mary Sweeney Home, 50 E. Pearl Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
