Ruth Moore

Ruth Moore from Louisa, Virginia, formerly from Hudson, New Hampshire, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, after a long illness. She was born in Watertown, MA, on January 27, 1934, to Thomas and Mary Frances Kierce. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Moore, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. She is survived by her brother, Donald Kierce of Tucson, AZ, her children, Robert and Denise Moore of Land O’Lakes, Florida, and, Rita Moore of Merrimack, NH, Roz and Jeff Kay of Keswick, VA, Rebecca and Michael LeBlanc of Guyton, GA, and several nieces and nephews. Her son, Ronald Moore, passed away in 2007. She was beloved by her 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a homemaker for many years, then worked for several NH businesses, including Centronics, Diggins and Rose Movers, Digital Equipment, and Walmart. She loved growing her orchids and other plants, she had a green thumb. She loved reading and enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She was an important member of the “village” in helping her children raise their own. She will be greatly missed and loved forever.

Ruth will be buried with her husband at St. Patrick’s Cemetery on April 26, 2024. A service is being planned prior to the burial. In place of flowers, in Ruth’s memory, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, VA.
