Jean-Marc Joseph Riendeau

Jean-Marc Joseph Riendeau, 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 24, 2024 in Hudson, NH surrounded by loved ones after a long hard-fought battle with Dementia.

Jean was born on October 12, 1940, son of the late Armand and Jeannette Riendeau in Barford, Quebec. At a young age, he and his family moved to Vermont where he was raised, then at the age of 18 moved to Manchester where he met his beloved wife Rose of 53 years. They had a wonderful life together raising their three children in Hudson. Jean-Marc was a taper in the painters union for over 20 years in Boston. During Jean’s retirement, they split their time between New Hampshire and Englewood, FL, where he was able to spend time with his five grandchildren that he loved unconditionally. After his wife Rose passed away, he moved back to Hudson to be close to family.

Jean-Marc was known to have many hobbies. He had a love for building and in his free time, he would build dollhouses. He loved giving back to people and the community, Jean was a member of the Knights of Columbus when he passed, he was at the rank of 3rd and 4th degree. He loved to travel with his beautiful wife Rose, they took many cruises. Jean always loved being outside whether it was sun tanning, camping, going to see the sandcastles or even just spending time with family. He had a great sense of humor and wit; he never failed to put a smile on someone’s face. One of jeans many favorite pastimes was making sure each grandchild got to visit them in Florida and do all the fun activities they wanted including teaching them how to shuffleboard.

​Jean-Marc was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Rose Riendeau, his sisters Pauline and Lise. He is survived by his daughter Victoria and her husband Ivan Soto, his daughter Linda Riendeau and her partner Nelson Duncan, his son Richard Riendeau and his wife Corinne, his grandson Zachary Soto and his wife Samantha, his granddaughter Alishia Soto and her fiancé Olivia Sivik, his granddaughter Kayla Riendeau and her fiancé John Torres and great-grandson Kamden, his grandson Trever Riendeau, his granddaughter Gabriella Riendeau, his twin brother Jean-Louis Riendeau and his wife Suzanne, his brother Camil Riendeau and his wife Simone and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH 03060, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for a donation to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Jean-Marc Riendeau
