Brian Gagne

Mar 5, 2024

With many memories but saddened hearts, the family of Brian Gagne regretfully shares the news of his departure from this earth.

Brian Marcel Gagne was born on June 16, 1952, first of two that day by 20 minutes, in Manchester, NH, to Joseph Marcel and Grace (Bujold) Gagne. He grew up in Manchester, attended Jean de Baptiste Elementary School and graduated from West High School in 1971.

Brian served in the US Army for the required 2 years. After his discharge, he was a self-employed electrician, like his father and grandfather before him. In 1979 he began his career in the Nashua Post Office, ending as their vehicle maintenance manager in 2014 after 38 ½ years of service.

Brian is a past member of the Executive Board of the Merrimack Legion Post 98 as well as a past Merrimack VFW “Santa”. He was known as someone you could call at any time for help. He collected friends along the many paths his life took him, from school, hunting, and fishing, his work at the Legion and from his time at the Post Office. He loved gardening, his birds, and fun family times at Lake Massasecum.

Brian is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Daniels) Gagne of 43 years of Merrimack, his daughter Jessica of Merrimack, his son Nathan and wife Jocelyn Tigist and grandson Winston of Merrimack, and his son Langdon & wife Lauren of Woodbridge, Virginia. He is predeceased in death by his twin brother, Bruce Gagne, and sister Gail Pouliot.

Calling hours will be held at Rivet Funeral Home 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Wednesday, March 6th from 4 – 6 PM with a service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 6 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Puritan Back Room.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to St Jude’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or St. James Food Pantry, 646 DW Hwy, Merrimack, NH 03054 in his memory.
