Wendy Sue Bernadette (Harris) Ordemann

Wendy Sue Bernadette (Harris) Ordemann, 69, passed away on February 22, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Wendy was born June 1, 1954, in Garwood, NJ to Robert D. Harris, Sr. and Frances Crowell Baker Harris. She was a 1972 graduate of David Brearley HS in Kenilworth, NJ where she enjoyed playing the clarinet in the school’s marching band. She earned her Zoology degree from The University of Rhode Island where she met her husband of 47 years, John R. Ordemann.

Wendy was a devoted and loving school bus driver and trainer for both First Student and Ryder Student Transportation, receiving “Driver of the Year” multiple times. She enjoyed playing piano, camping, hiking, and kayaking. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains (formerly, Swiftwater Girl Scout Council), serving as a unit leader and a First Aid and Safety Trainer. She also served as a committee member for Boy Scout Troop 410 in Nashua, NH and received the Trainer’s Award.

Wendy is predeceased by her parents and her brother Robert D. Harris, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband John, son Paul Ordemann and his wife Stephanie of Greenville, NH, daughters Elizabeth and her husband Eric Totten of Aubrey, TX, and Mary and her husband James Owen of Manchester, NH; her sisters Virginia and her husband Philip Cozzi of Emmaus, PA, and Nancy Harris of Altamonte Springs, FL. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Evan Ordemann, Tripp and Rhys Totten, and Paige and Joseph Owen, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 29th from 6:00-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 1st at 10:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Amherst, NH at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or other Parkinson’s research and support foundations. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home.
