Alonzo J Bealand, Jr
At his home with his wife by his side holding his hand, Alonzo J Bealand, Jr (76) met his savior and heard the words he had been longing to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your lord” on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
Alonzo, more fondly known as Al, was born in Nashua, NH to Alonzo J Bealand, Sr and Flora M Bealand (Burgess) on May 16, 1947. He spent the majority of his years in Nashua until he retired and relocated to Myrtle Beach in 2018. Al’s career was largely spent on the road driving coach busses for Concord Trailways. He loved long drives and enjoyed the scenery along the way. Most recently, Al worked as a medical courier for Parkland Medical Center until his retirement. Outside of work, Al was often found in his garage woodworking or outside planting flowers or tending to his garden.
Al held many titles throughout his life, but the ones he loved the most were husband, dad and PopPop, as he often expressed how appreciative he was to have his family. He is survived by his wife, Shirley L Bealand (Decoteau), his daughter Tammy Gruntorad (Loran) and sons Jason Bealand (Kim), Michael Bealand (Shellee) and Jonathan Bealand (Melonie). He is also survived by his sister Flora Curtis and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2pm at Solid Rock Church, Myrtle Beach. In lieu of flowers, it was Al’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Solid Rock Ministries, Inc. (memo: building fund), 803 Howard Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or by online donation to https://app.easytithe.com/app/giving/srm.
