Beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister and friend;
Nancy A. (Silk) Lawlor, 67, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Friday January 26, 2024 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the loving wife for over 37 years of John J. “Jay” Lawlor, who survives her.
Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, January 11, 1957, the daughter of the late Burton T. and the late Winifred A. (Young) Silk, she was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Pelham.
She attended Nashua schools and was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1975.
Nancy recently retired from Volt Consulting where she was a Senior Vice President working mostly out of New York City and her home.
Active in her community and her parish, Nancy was a member of St. Patrick Church Life Foundation, EMHC, the Caring Cupboard, the New Hampshire Food Bank and the Hudson American Legion Auxiliary Post 48 – ALA.
Nancy enjoyed bike riding, fishing, traveling and going to the beach. However, her most cherished times were when she was with her family.
Besides her husband Jay, she is survived by her son Matthew Lawlor and his wife Kylie (Perkins) of Manchester, NH; a step-son Jeffrey Schilling and his partner Brianna Raynes and their granddaughter Elizabeth of Laconia, NH; a brother James B. Silk and his wife Olivia of Nashua, NH; three sisters Linda A. Caton of Hudson, FL, Karen E. Silk and her partner Jean Claude Barrault of New Port Richey, FL and Wendy J. Fleming and her husband Keith of Cape Coral, FL; many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Charlene M. McDonough.
Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM on Wednesday January 31, 2024, from 3 to 7 P.M. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday morning at ST.
