Noshir Motivala passed away peacefully in Falmouth, MA, surrounded by family, on November 23rd. He was 89.
Noshir was born in Bombay, India in 1934. Son of the late Homi and Dolat Motivala. Growing up Noshir was very active in the Boy Scouts and became a standout violinist. At the age of 18 he left home and started traveling the world. While in England at a party, he met the love of his life, Eileen Frances Noon and began his trade in professional glassblowing. In 1968 Noshir and Eileen moved to the United States for job opportunities and eventually attained U.S. citizenship.
They settled in Nashua, NH where they would raise their 3 children. Noshir was known as a responsible family man. He coached his kids’ sports team while working long hours to provide a good life for his family. He was so proud of being a citizen of the United States of America.
Noshir achieved his American dream when he co-founded a business, M&M Glassblowing, in Nashua, which is still in business today. He always enjoyed fixing things around the house, listening to Pavarotti and eating his native spicy foods.
In his retirement Noshir and Eileen loved wintering in Florida. He stayed active golfing, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and even went skydiving to celebrate his 75th birthday.
During the past two years Noshir was lovingly cared for by Eileen and the wonderful staff at Atria Senior Living in Falmouth.
