Carolyn A. (Peak) Dabrowski

Dec 5, 2023

On the morning of Friday, November 24, 2023, at the age of 84, Carolyn A. (Peak) Dabrowski peacefully passed away at home in Eliot, Maine, holding hands with Stanley, her devoted and loving husband of 57 years. Born February 3, 1939 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Carolyn was the third of seven children to the late Francis X. and Helen C. (Graf) Peak. She loved her hometown and maintained a strong bond with her 5 sisters and one little brother while raising her family in Nashua, New Hampshire. Carolyn created a warm and loving household where everyone felt welcomed. She loved gatherings and believed her Nashua home was always on your way, regardless of your destination. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren (if you dared arrive after 9am “the day was shot”). Her face would light up with joy every time her grandchildren entered the room, a testament to the special bond they shared. She loved the outdoors, tending her gardens, playing tennis with her favorite tennis partner, cross country skiing with her family, and as long as she was able, she never missed a day of walking.

Carolyn was dedicated to a life of serving others volunteering at several organizations throughout the years including the Nashua food pantry and soup kitchen, Hospice, Meals on Wheels, and the churches and schools which her family attended. Carolyn’s legacy of compassion and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those around her will be forever remembered and deeply missed. After her move to the seacoast, her love and generosity was returned as she was the recipient of care and services from many amazing and devoted people in the local community.

In addition to Stanley A. Dabrowski of Eliot, ME, Carolyn is survived, loved and missed by her son Kenneth S. Dabrowski and his wife Kelly of Nashua, NH; two daughters Cynthia L. Kennie and husband Michael of Kennebunk, ME and Sharon K. McGovern and husband Brian of Eliot, ME; a brother Francis Peak and his wife Carolyn; two sisters Lois Walker and Catherine Wise and her husband Charlie; and her 9 grandchildren Phoebe, Hayden, Jack, Frances, Charlie, Helen, Stella, Arlo and Emma; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carolyn is predeceased by her sisters Helen Jean (Peak) Bennett, Frances (Peak) Holland, and Janice (Peak) Quinton.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, December 16th in St. Christopher Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, ME. For online condolences please visit www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com.
