Claire Patricia (Roy) Gauthier
Claire Patricia (Roy) Gauthier, 81, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born on December 15, 1941 to the late Herve and Germaine (Laliberte) Roy. She is preceded in death by her brothers Jean-Denis Roy and Normand Roy.
Claire grew up in Nashua, NH and graduated from St. Louis de Gonzague High School in 1959. She went on to get her Associates Degree at Hesser College in 1993. She was employed by Lockheed Martin/BAE Systems for almost 40 years as an Executive Secretary and Contracts Team Assistant. She relocated to Fremont, NH where she resided for the last 17 years.
Claire was strong in her faith, who loved the Lord, her family, friends, church, and her community. She was an avid reader of novels, and also liked doing puzzles and playing the piano. Claire stayed very active all her life, going to the gym (loved Zumba class), doing Tai Chi, taking long walks and even earned a green belt in Tae Kwon Do. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends and adored her loyal dog Bruin.
Claire is survived by her husband Aime “Chuck” Gauthier of 57 years, her four children, Denis (daughter in law, Sonya), Gregory (fiancée, Sandy), David (daughter in law, Katie) and Caroline, along with 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 12th from 1-3 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday November 13th at St. Joseph Church, 200 Pleasant Street, Epping at 11 AM. Burial will be on Tuesday at 10 AM at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (https://www.bcrf.org/) in honor of our beloved mother and wife Claire.
