Pauline H. Morello

Pauline H. Morello, 93, passed peacefully at home with family by her side in Moultonborough NH, on October 15th, 2023.

Pauline was born in Nashua NH on January 8th, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Irene (Kerouac) Mercier.

She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Morello, they were married on October 7th, 1950. They spent most summers with their four children camping at Lake Winona and they enjoyed playing cribbage almost daily with their morning coffee. While Kenneth was at work, Pauline stayed home with her children and ran an in-home daycare spending many summer afternoons with all the children at the family pool. They were happily married for 29 years, and she cared for him until he lost his battle with cancer in 1979. She raised her two youngest children as a single mother, working as the head teller at a branch of the former Bank of NH (TD Bank) for many years.

Pauline loved shopping with her sister Jan and was always on the hunt for the best bargain. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially cheering on her favorite football team the New England Patriots. She enjoyed living in her home in Spring Hill Florida to escape the cold New England winters and enjoyed visiting with her family for the summers in New Hampshire. She loved being with her family during the holidays and always made sure her many grandchildren had gifts from her. Pauline loved knitting and was a whiz at it. Many family members cherish the sweaters, ponchos, blankets and Christmas stockings handmade by her. Pauline was especially proud of her big family with 4 children and 53 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, many of them fondly called her “Tic Tac Grammy” since she always carried the tiny mints in her purse.

Pauline will be greatly missed by the family she leaves behind. Her brother Ernest Mercier of Nashua NH and her four children, Kenneth Morello and his wife Lorette of Vero Beach Fl, Michael Morello and his wife Beverly of Holderness NH, David Morello of Nashua NH and Kathleen Baker (Morello) and her husband Dan of Moultonborough NH; her 11 grandchildren, Christal Morello, Serena Neveu (Morello) and her husband Mark, Elissa Morello and her husband TJ Vondra, Nathan Morello and his wife Jennifer, Jesse Morello, Christopher Morello and his wife Jennifer, Hannah Smith and her husband Anthony, Nicole Swiderski, Rebecca Andersen, Brittany Kittleson (Baker) and her husband Justin, Daniel Baker and his wife Mallory; her (31) great grandchildren, and (11) great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends all of whom she loved dearly.

Pauline was the sister of the late Robert Mercier, Normand Mercier, Roger Mercier, Paul Mercier, Hank Mercier, Theresa Sevigny, Rita Vigneault and Janet Dube.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Nashua NH on November 15th at 10:00 am. A following graveside service will be private for the immediate family.
