Michael Tsoukaris
NEW HAMPSHIRE – Mr. Michael Tsoukaris, 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 26th at St Jospeh Hospital in Nashua with his loving family by his side.
Michael was born on November 14, 1934 In Chios, Greece a son of the late Kosta and Perthika Tsoukaris. He was the loving husband to the late Athena (Karvelas) Tsoukaris.
He came to the United States in 1957 settling in Lowell. He opened Parkway O’Connell Barber Shop in Lowell in 1962 and operated the shop until 1973. He then bought a pizza store with his wife Athena, in Nashua, New Hampshire and called it Nashua House of Pizza. They sold the business and bought Kinseley House of Pizza which he operated until 2000.
Michael was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Dracut. He enjoyed working in his garden to pass time.
He is survived by his two sons, Charlie Tsoukaris and his wife Adele, and Peter Tsoukaris; a sister in law, Virginia Karvelas; four grandchildren, Michael Tsoukaris and his wife Katie, Adam Tsoukaris and his wife Haleigh, Jean Rock DuBois and his wife Christina, and Peter DuBois; he also leaves five great grandchildren.
Michael was pre-deceased by his daughter, Perdika “Perre” DuBois.
Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell on Monday, October 2nd from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. His funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd at 9:00am at the Funeral Home to be followed by his service at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Dracut at 10:00am Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
