Cecile M. Carpenter

Cecile M. Carpenter, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Derry, NH. Cecile “Cil” was born in Lowell, MA on October 7, 1930 to the late Philibert and Lillian (Trudel) Boisvert.

Cecile was the widow of Edward Carpenter with whom she shared 64 happy years of marriage prior to his passing in 2014. Cecile and Ed resided in Nashua, NH, Gilmanton, NH, Sarasota, FL and Billerica, MA.

Cecile enjoyed years of camping, hosting gatherings, reading and shopping, above all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She adored her children and grandchildren and kept a tight bond with them all. Cecile easily made friends everywhere she went. She was very caring to all and always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed by all that crossed her path.

Cecile is survived by her children, Deborah and her husband, James Swiatowicz of NC, Edward Carpenter of Lunenburg, MA, Daniel Carpenter of ME, and Cynthia Snedeker of Derry, NH, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Jane Carpenter and her former son-in-law Paul Snedeker.

In addition to her husband, Cecile is predeceased by her brothers: Raymond, Robert, and Roger Boisvert as well as her daughter-in-law, Pamela Carpenter.

Family and friends are invited to Cecile’s visitation on THURSDAY, October 5th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her funeral mass will be on FRIDAY, October 6th at 10 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
