Joan Elaine Chamberlain

Joan Elaine Chamberlain, 81, of Hollis, NH passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, at her home. She was born in Ayer, MA on December 26, 1941, daughter of the late Floyd U. Bancroft and Ruth E.

(Gardner) Bancroft. Joan was the loving wife of Edward “Ted” Chamberlain for nearly 62 years. They were married in Pepperell, MA on September 30, 1961.

Joan was a dedicated member of the Hollis School System; nursery through primary grades for almost 20 years and a Hollis Fire Department supporter and secretary for over 40 years alongside her husband. She was an avid reader, enjoyed camping trips, and loved spending time in her flower garden.

She is survived by her husband, Edward “Ted” Chamberlain, and their sons: Gary Chamberlain and his significant other Kellie O’Sullivan, and Richard Chamberlain and his wife Lee-Anne. She is also survived

by her grandchildren: Patrick Chamberlain and his daughter Annabelle, Kyle Chamberlain and his wife

Hanaah, Corey Chamberlain and his wife Alyssa, Logan Chamberlain and his wife Devin, Mitchell Chamberlain, and Nic Gamache. Survivors also include her two brothers: Alan Bancroft and his wife

Dolly along with their families, and Donald Bancroft and his wife Martha and their families. Joan also

leaves behind her sister-in-law, Claire Chase and her husband Donald and their families, as well as close

family friend Joyce Chamberlain and many cousins and friends.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10am at the Hollis Congregational Church, 3 Monument Sq., Hollis, NH 03049. Family and friends are invited to attend.
