Katie Jean (Carey) Dionne

Katie Jean (Carey) Dionne, 52, of Nashua, died August 8, 2023, from complications of colon cancer with her family by her side.

She was born in Nashua to Charles Carey of Hudson and Patricia Carey of Nashua. She was a lifelong resident of Nashua NH. She was the wife of Shawn L. Dionne.

She graduated from Nashua High School in 1988 and earned an Associate’s degree from SNHU in 1991. She worked in the medical field as a medical assistant and scheduling specialist for several years.

Katie loved spending time watching the wildlife at her home in the great north woods of Pittsburg, NH. She especially enjoyed shopping for a great bargain – the cheaper the price the better! Dear to her heart were her “fur babies” Olivia and Dozer.

Katie will be remembered for her great sense of humor, high sense of fashion, quick smile, and gentle nature. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed being with people and was the life of any get-together. Katie’s love for her family and friends was infectious and her always cheerful personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Along with her husband of 28 years, Shawn, Katie is survived by her parents Patricia Carey of Nashua and Charles Carey and his wife Maureen of Hudson; mother-in-law Marguerite “Mickey” Dionne of Nashua; sisters Kim Leets, Karen Beaulieu and her husband Richard, and Kelly Carey; her brothers-in-law and their spouses; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; three great-nieces.

There are no calling hours. At the request of the family all services will be private.
