Richard Albert Lavoie

Richard Albert Lavoie, 83, died Friday, July 13, 2023, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, in Nashua, NH, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born October 13, 1939, in Nashua, NH, and was the son of the late Auguste and Jean (Plourde) Lavoie. He married his wife Louise February 8, 1964, at St Francis Xavier in Nashua.

Richard worked many years as a poultry farmer and operated Lavoie’s Egg Farm. He and his wife, Louise, owned and operated Lavoie Egg Farms on Pine Hill Road in Nashua for many years. He also worked for the Nashua public school system as a head custodial at Birch Hill School.

Richard enjoyed bowling, gardening, dancing, reading and movies. Richard was a big movie watcher. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his sister Rita and her husband Roger Constant, brother John and wife Diane Lavoie, as well as his brother Donald Lavoie.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Louise G. (Tremblay) Lavoie, his daughter Linda and her lifelong boyfriend Ken, daughter Christine Lavoie; son Steve Lavoie; grandchildren, Jonah and Raelyn Lavoie, which he loved so much. Richard also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he adored.

SERVICES: Services will be held at the Mercy of our Lady Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, NH 03054, at a later date.
