Edgar ‘Bizz’ Lavoie

Jul 12, 2023

Edgar “Bizz” Lavoie, 74, of Nashua, passed away at home on Friday, July 7th following a long illness.

To know Bizz was to love him. He was passionate, hardworking, stubborn, and hilarious. He loved his family, the Pats, the Sox, a rare steak, and a cold Bloody Caesar. He always sported a fabulous moustache and wore his big heart on his sleeve. His family is certain that wherever he is now, Bizz is making it a party.

Bizz was born on November 26, 1948, in Nashua to Eddie & Rose Lavoie. He graduated from Nashua High School in 1966 and went on to study at New Hampshire Community Technical College. He later joined Pipefitters Union Local 537 as an HVAC Technician, and proudly served in the NH Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked his entire career in HVAC, gaining national recognition as a top Service Manager in the industry, and retired in 2017.

Bizz married Donna (Biathrow) in 1980. They were married 43 years, raised 3 awesome kids, and doted on their 6 beautiful grandchildren.

Bizz was predeceased by his parents, and many of his beloved friends, The Buffaloes. He is survived by his wife, Donna, his sons and daughters-in-law; Nathan & Brenda Church of Merrimack, Brad & Amy Lavoie of Salt Lake City, UT; his daughter and son-in-law, Amy & George Carlos of Los Angeles, CA, and his six amazing grandchildren, Troy & Ryan Church, Wilson & Davis Lavoie, and Emily & Gabriel Carlos. Survivors also include his brother and sister-in-law, Bob & Dot Lavoie of Nashua, their 5 children, as well as many cousins, other extended family, and countless friends.

There will be no services at this time. Per Bizz’s request, a Celebration of Life is scheduled for August 12 from 1-4pm at the Elks Lodge in Nashua, where he was a long-time member.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of Bizz’s favorite charities; Boston Children’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Indian School.
