David C. Gilbert (Gil)

On March 28, 2023, David C. Gilbert (Gil) from Hudson, NH died in New Port Richey, FL after a short battle with Pancreatic and Liver Cancer. He was 74 years old.

David is survived by his wife, Li’Ying Gilbert of New Port Richey, FL; his children, Dale Gilbert of New Port Richey, FL, Brian Gilbert of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren (Brandon Gilbert, Ashtyn Gilbert, Brody Gilbert) and sibling Chuck Gilbert (Donna) of Hudson, NH. He was preceded in death by his mother Priscilla Gilbert and father James Gilbert.

David was born on October 2, 1948, in Nashua, NH. He graduated from Alvirne High School in 1966 and went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force in which he left with an honorable discharge.

David was the owner of Cookie’s Chuck Wagon from 1992 – 2017 and served his community as a member of the Hudson Chamber of Commerce, Hudson American Legion Post #48, and National Republican Party.

David was cremated at Morgan Funeral Home & Cremation Service in New Port Richey, FL. His remains currently rest within the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
