Alan R. Chesnulevich
Alan R. Chesnulevich, 66, of Hudson, NH, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington MA, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Wright) Chesnulevich, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.
Alan was born on September 22, 1956 in Nashua, NH and was the son of Dorothy (Poff) Chesnulevich of Hudson and the late Harry Chesnulevich.
He was raised in Hudson and was a 1975 graduate of Alvirne High School. A loving husband, father, Dooda, brother, son, uncle and friend, Alan enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and granddaughters, and was so looking forward to the arrival of his newest grandchild, a grandson, in November.
Alan loved traveling with his wife to Anna Maria Island, Marathon, Florida, and Las Vegas. He loved family pool days, fishing anywhere he could drop a line, bingo, and a good IPA. Raising his family was his highest accomplishment and was his son and daughter’s biggest fan at every sporting event. He was the proudest Dooda at his granddaughters dance recitals and running races.
Alan was a member of the IUOE Local 4 and was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Defelice Corporation until his retirement in 2020. He was also a devoted past president of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Southern New Hampshire Chapter.
Alan will forever be loved and remembered by his wife, Susan Chesnulevich of Hudson, his son, Peter Chesnulevich and his wife Meaghan of Auburn, NH; his daughter, Lauren Scurini and her husband Vincent of Nashua, NH; two beloved grandchildren, Charlotte Chesnulevich and Olivia Scurini; his mother, Dorothy Chesnulevich of Hudson, NH; three brothers, John Chesnulevich and his wife Catherine of Windham, NH; David Chesnulevich and his wife Cynthia of Merrimack, NH; and Eric Chesnulevich of Windham, NH; his father-in-law Ralph Wright and his wife Carol of Tilton, NH; his brother-in-law, Jason Wright and his wife Judy of Tilton, NH, his uncle, Norman Poff of Nashua, NH; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the ICU staff at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center as well as Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for their diligent and compassionate efforts in caring for Alan.
A time of visitation will be held on Monday, July 10th in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St. in Hudson from 2 PM through 5 PM with a Service of Remembrance in the funeral home at 5 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alan’s loving memory to JDRF, a charity, very dear to Alan at www.jdrf.org or the American Lung Association at www.lung.org The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.
