Barbara A. (Jacques) Justason

Barbara A. (Jacques) Justason, age 88, died Wednesday, June 22, 2023 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, the daughter of Philip and Elsie (Bodonis) Jacques. She was the wife of Irving Justason. They were married in 1953 and divorced 26 years later.

Barbara graduated from Nashua High in 1952 and was an Air Force spouse for the next 21 years. She retired from Sears after working as a Catalog Supervisor for 26 years. She worked briefly at Nashua City Hall in the city clerk’s office. She spent 13 wonderful years as a beloved waitress at Jackies Diner on Main Street in Nashua, where she served and entertained many customers and met several prominent political candidates.

Barbara enjoyed singing and dancing and received several awards for her stage performances. She also enjoyed gardening in her flower garden, bird watching and spending time with family and friends. After retiring, she enjoyed stopping into the diner for breakfast and talking with everyone that came in.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Philip & Elsie Jacques, four siblings Joyce Goodspeed, Christine Cote, Phyllis Zajaceskowski, and Philip (Skippy) Jacques, one daughter-in-law Marion (Mickey) Justason (wife of Steven), and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara is survived by her four children, Steven Justason of SC, Andrew Justason of NH, Christine Francoeur and husband Ken of NH and Bruce Justason and wife Bibiana of NH, eight grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Heather, Tracy, David, Rebecca, Jenifer and Shawn as well as many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

SERVICES: A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St, Nashua, NH from 11 am to 1:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held directly after the visitation with Father Kerper officiating. A procession will lead to Holy Cross Cemetery on Ledge Rd, Hudson, NH, for the Committal Ceremony.
