Susan E. Warren

WILTON – Susan E. Warren, 70, lifelong resident of Wilton, NH, died on June 20, 2023 at the Lahey Medical Center, Burlington, MA.

She was born in Nashua, NH on November 1, 1952, a daughter of Carl A. Warren & Frieda (Jowders) Warren.

Sue was raised and educated in Wilton and graduated from Wilton Lyndeborough Co-Op High School, Class of 1970. She was the owner of General Billing Company, Milford, NH for 17 years. She had also worked at the Wilton Diner for many years and the Souhegan National Bank. Sue was an active member of the Second Congregational Church, Wilton, NH.

She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, and refinishing furniture. Sue had a keen interest in genealogy and also loved spending time at the beach. In addition, she was instrumental in coordinating many class reunions.

Sue was predeceased by her brothers, Robert L. Warren and David C. Warren.

Family members include her beloved children, Laura M. Crooker of Wilton, with whom she made her home, James S. & Leah Crooker of Bennington, NH and Elizabeth R. Crooker of Temple, NH; five grandchildren, Megan E. Crooker, Jared S. Crooker, Brian W. Turgeon, Madeline J. Carpentiere and Brady H. Carpentiere; two great grandsons, Jameson C. Gillis and Lucas C. Gillis; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly E. Yohe of Merrimack, NH & Durham, NC, Carole A. and Jerry Trombly of Milford and Nancy J. and George Ashley of Milford; sister-in-law, Betty Lou Warren of Lake St. Louis, MO; an aunt, Carolyn L. (Jowders) Underwood of Bedford, NH; several cousins, nieces and nephews and their extended families.

Memorial visiting hours are on Wednesday, June 28th from 5-7pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 29th at 10am in the Second Congregational Church of Wilton, 25 Gregg Street, Wilton, NH. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wilton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Second Congregational Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 246, Wilton, NH 03086.
