Cheryl Freeman

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Cheryl Freeman of Nashua, New Hampshire. Cheryl passed away surrounded by her family following a brief illness at the age of 68 on April 3, 2023.

Cheryl was predeceased by her father, Aubrey Leake Jr., as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.

She was born in Bennington, Vermont October 3, 1954, and was a resident in Nashua since 1971.

Cheryl enjoyed the beach, music and was part of numerous bands as the lead singer. She also enjoyed supporting the Armed Forces coming from a military family.

She is survived by her daughter Chelsey Briand of Merrimack, New Hampshire and her son Michael Briand of Nashua, New Hampshire, her mother Beverly Leake of Bennington, Vermont and four siblings; Ginny (Gregory) Flewelling of Nashua, New Hampshire, Michael (Cindy) Belanger of Weare, New Hampshire, Cathy (John) Buonantuono of Severn, Maryland, and Aubrey Leake III (Amy) of Gallatin, Tennessee as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a private celebration held for the family.
