Eleanor Ann Flanders

Eleanor Ann (Richards) Flanders, 94 and 3/4 years old (in her own words), of Milford NH passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023.

She was born in Springfield NH, daughter of Dorothy Witham and Howard Richards, the 4th of their 4 children, including Howard, Barbara, and Betty. At age 19 she married Frank Roger Flanders of Merrimack and they were together for 68 years at the time of his passing in 2014.

Eleanor enjoyed many things: working as a home health aide, gardening, caring for farm animals, cooking, baking, stacking firewood, sewing, knitting, singing, reading books-including her bible, taking care of her family, and anonymously “helping others” with just about anything as best she could.

Eleanor will be missed by her sons; Frank Flanders and his wife Leona Davis, and James Flanders and his wife Donna. She had 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service for Eleanor on Saturday, April 15 at 1 PM at the Milford United Methodist Church at 327 N. River Rd., Milford NH. She will join her husband in the NH Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
