Pauline Jeanne Laurette Hamel (Lavoie) was born on 11-23-33 to Alfred Lavoie & Lillian Lavoie (Gagnon).

She passed away on February 12th, 2023.

She was a lifetime resident of Nashua, N.H.

She met William Hamel at a local dance and was married for over 40 years.

They opened a small downtown Nashua business in 1970, “W. Hamel Jeweler,” and they worked together until his passing in 1997.

Pauline also donated her time to the Red Cross and the Community Council.

She spent many Saturdays dining and dancing with her husband Bill until his passing.

She continued spending her Saturday nights out with Keith Vaskelionis for 10 years. Pauline enjoyed her time spent with her dancing friends.

Pauline is survived by son William Hamel Jr. of Lowell Massachusetts and wife Joan Hamel; and daughter Paula Beatrice and husband John Beatrice of Lancaster California.

She has six grandchildren: William Hamel III, Emily Beatrice, Daniel Beatrice, Deanna Beatrice, Hillary Hamel Hernandez, and Andrew Beatrice.

She has 7 great-grandchildren: Larenz Johnson, Davion Johnson, Brielle Beatrice, Kaitlyn Beatrice, Lillian Hamel, Benjamin Hamel, and Kiana Valentin.

She has 3 nieces & 4 nephews. Many cousins, Laurette Wardwell and Claire Pelletier who helped care for Pauline in her declining years.

Pauline was preceded in death by her brother Norman Lavoie.

There will be a celebration of life which is planned for May 4, 2023,

the anniversary of William Hamel’s passing. They will reside at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.

They are together again.

Services at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery May 4th, 2023, at 11:00 am. Call two weeks out to confirm with Kitty.

Committal service by Fr. David Harris.

St. Christopher’s Church will announce intentions for Bill and Pauline at 7:30 Mass.
