Armand T. Nadreau

Armand T. Nadreau age 91, left very peacefully for his heavenly home on the afternoon of January 25, 2023 while at Southern NH Medical Center, after a period of declining health. His loving wife and four children were by his side.

Dad was born on October 19, 1931 in Spencer MA to the late Armand and Vida Nadreau. He lived in Spencer until his early teens when his family moved to Nashua NH. At the young age of 17, Dad enlisted in the US Air Force. He was always a proud veteran who served 3 years in Korea and Japan.

Shortly after meeting on a blind date he married the love of his life, Rita (Lavallee) on August 28, 1954 and would have celebrated their 69th anniversary this year. Mom and Dad went on to have 4 children all within the next 3 years which included a set of twins. Dad was a patient man. He was also kind, calm, soft spoken, fair and funny! He taught us that we are capable of anything if we put our mind to it. He taught us to be self-sufficient and to go after our dreams.

At the age of 23, he took on a position at Nashua Wood Products. He had a great work ethic and was an innate leader which led him to quickly become the General Manager. He retired from his position after working there for 42 years.

Dad and Mom loved to dance, especially a Jitterbug. You would always see them dancing to “In the Mood” at any family function cheered on by everyone there. Dad studied Karate in his younger years where he was one stripe away from a black belt. Unfortunately, his Dojo moved out of Nashua. It was fun for us kids to watch him practice and call out the moves he needed to do, which he had written down. We were pretty proud of his accomplishment! Dad and Mom put a beautiful pool in their backyard in 1988, this is where Dad loved to be. We all have so many fond memories that were made around that pool.

Family members include his wife of 68 years, Rita(Lavallee ) Nadreau; two daughters, Donna Davis and her husband Peter of Amherst NH, Sam (Sandra) Arkind and her husband Ken of Corinth VT; and 2 sons, Ronald Nadreau and his wife Diane of Hudson NH and Donald Nadreau and his wife Gia Marcello of Windham NH. He also leaves behind his sister Lorraine Corcoran of Hudson NH and his grandchildren, Erin Boutin and her husband Mike of Merrimack, Erika Davis and her partner Jonathan Sola of Derry, Patrick Davis and his wife Kait of Merrimack, Jill Arkind and her husband Jeremy Bruno of Bennington VT , Lauren Holland and her husband Dan of Framingham MA, Christopher Arkind and his partner Cathy Vu of Newport Beach CA, Gretchen Arkind and her wife Kathy of Apopka FL, Todd Arkind of Fairbanks AK and Ed Nadreau of Nashua NH. His great grandchildren Kiarra, Kaiden, Hannah, Michael, Veronika, Brady, Ada, Audie and Olive. His sister-in-law Carol Latour and his brother-in law-Donald Latour, his sister-in-law Elizabeth Nadreau. Many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Gay Remillard ; his brothers, Hector Nadreau and Harvey Nadreau, his sister-in-law Jeannette Nadreau, brother-in-law Albert (Crippy) Remillard and his brother in law William Corcoran.

Interment services will be on June 9th at 1pm at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Followed by a gathering at the home of his daughter, Donna Davis.
