Judith G. Roman
Judith G. Roman, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Ned; her parents, Philip and Alene Goetzman; sister, Emily; and four-legged love, Heidi. She is survived by her children, Susan (Christopher) Culhane, John (Siri); grandchildren, Jack, Andrew, Sawyer, Baxter.
Judy was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. and attended Pratt Art Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. She met her husband Ned in Rochester, N.Y. when they were seated next to each other at a dinner dance at the University Club. They eloped a few years later in March of 1965, and spent 48 years in their home in Penfield, N.Y., before relocating to Nashua, NH to be closer to family. Judy was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was actively involved in several school groups; volunteered for The Memorial Art Gallery, The Rochester Museum and Science Center, and Strong Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Chatterbox Club. Judy was an exceptional cook, thoughtful and gracious hostess, super-fan for her children’s sports and activities, and kept a critical eye on US politics. Judy Roman was a kind soul and a very special person. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at the Congregational Church of Hollis, 3 Monument Sq, Hollis, NH 03049, on Saturday, January 21st at 2 p.m. An additional memorial service will be held in Rochester, N.Y. this spring or summer for both Judy and Ned.
