Roland E. Marquis

Roland E. Marquis, 82, of Nashua passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was the widower of the late Sandra L. (Hogan) Marquis who died February 23, 2021.

Roland was born in Nashua on May 15, 1940 and was the son of the late Edgar and Alice (Levesque) Marquis. He received his education in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School. He was a US Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

He was employed by Blue Line Express for 20 years and then with Riteway Trucking until his retirement.

In his free time, Roland loved to hunt, fish, take boat rides on Squam Lake, spend time at camp and, most recently he loved to knit hats. He cherished his time spent with family and playing games with his grandchildren.

Roland is survived by a son, William Marquis, and his wife Judith of Hudson; a daughter, Michelle Crisa and her husband David of Goffstown; his three grandchildren, James Marquis, Allyson Crisa and Samuel Crisa. He is also survived by two sisters, Rose Marie Plaisance and her husband Ronald of Nashua and Pauline Paradise of Nashua as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his wife, Roland, was predeceased by a brother, Robert Marquis.

Relatives and friends are invited to Roland’s visitation on Friday, January 13th from 5 to 8 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14th at 10am in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester St., Nashua Burial with military honors will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
