Jacqueline Ann (Lozeau) Soucy

Jacqueline Ann (Lozeau) Soucy, 84, died peacefully Wednesday evening, January 4, 2023 at Fairview Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul R. Soucy with whom she shared 37 years of marriage prior to his passing in August of 1995.

Jacqueline was born in Manchester, NH on November 14, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Aurele and Lucille (Deschenaux) Lozeau. A lifelong resident of Nashua and a graduate of St. Louis High School with the class of 1956.

For many years, she worked as a cashier for Soucy’s Market as well as in customer service for Lachance Northwest Insurance and then Liberty Mutual until her retirement in 2001.

Jacqueline was a proud and dedicated communicant at St. John XXIII Parish at Infant Jesus Church for many years. Following her retirement, she happily volunteered her time at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a Eucharistic Minister. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family who she loved deeply. Jacqueline, the matriarch of her family will be missed.

She is survived by her six children, Lynn Laughton and her husband Bruce of Nashua, Alan Soucy of Merrimack, Kathleen Poole and her husband Richard of Weare, NH, Carrie Hanscom and her partner Carlos Aguilar of Nashua, Pamela Bernier and her husband Rene of Nashua, and Scott Soucy and his wife Rachel of Nashua; her 12 grandchildren, Erin Seguin and her husband Michael, Ryan Perkins and his wife Janelle, MaryBeth Williams and her husband Christopher, Matthew Soucy, Megan Soucy, Kimberly Whittemore and her husband Nathan, Eric Poole, Jason Hanscom, Caleb Hanscom, Jake Kenney and his fiancé Mariah, Justin Bernier and his wife Erica and Brianna Soucy. She is also survived by her 11 great-grandchildren, Owen, Makenzie, Aubrey, Evan, Christine, Liam, Vaida, Dallas, Morgan, Ryker, and Valerie as well as numerous step great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Sandra Lozeau of Nashua, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Paul and her parents, Jacqueline was predeceased by her brother Kenneth Lozeau and her sister Constance DeRosier.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jacqueline’s visitation on TUESDAY, January 10th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on WEDNESDAY, January 11th at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
