Pauline Rose Emma (Savoie) Marquis

Pauline Rose Emma (Savoie) Marquis, 92, died peacefully Monday, January 2, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Richard Marquis with whom she shared nearly 68 years of marriage prior to his passing on January 29, 2020.

Pauline was born in Manchester, NH on September 7, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Marguerite (Gagne) Savoie.

For many years, she was employed as a cashier at the South Nashua Market Basket until her retirement.

Pauline cherished her winters spent in Cape Canaveral, Florida with family and friends, enjoyed doing needlework and crafts, and was a proud and devoted parishioner of St. Louis de Gonzague Church in Nashua. In her younger years, she loved to cruise, going out to dinner and playing cards with her husband and her “Hidden Harbor Friends.” Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children, Paul Marquis and his wife Arlene Marquis of Litchfield and Jeanne Demanche and her husband Jerry of Mason, NH; her seven grandchildren, Adam Marquis of Denver, CO, Peter Marquis and his wife Lauren of Coopersburg, PA, David Marquis and his wife Kenny of Concord, NH, Daniel Marquis of Litchfield, Sam Marquis of Litchfield, Nathan Demanche and his wife Brooke of Boylston, MA and Laura Demanche Farren and her husband Chris of Nashua; two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Lincoln Demanche. She is also survived by her two siblings, May Rudd and Frank Savoie and his wife Ellen all of Auburndale, FL; as well as several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Pauline was predeceased by her granddaughter, Emily Marquis and her siblings, Arthur, Ceclie “Sis”, Roger, and Guy.

To honor Pauline’s memory, please eat a little piece of something sweet since it was her favorite.

Relatives and friends are invited to Pauline’s Funeral Mass on TUESDAY, January 10th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua.
