Evdoxia ‘Eva’ Liakos

Evdoxia “Eva” Liakos, 89, died peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Constantinos Liakos.

Eva was born in Paleokastro, Greece on March 17, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Vasilios and Agathe (Voyiatzi) Batzoyianni.

She immigrated to Nashua, NH as a widow with her three children to be with her loving sister Vasiliki and her husband George Tsiaras and loving brother Demitrios Batzoyianni and his wife Katerina. She is also predeceased by her sister Mary Palantzas of Greece and survived by her brother George Batzoyianni of Paleokastro, Greece.

For many years, she worked at Buckme Mears Corp until her retirement. She was an active member of the St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church and was a member of the Ladies Agape Society. You could find her almost every year volunteering in the church kitchen baking up everyone’s favorite Greek Pastries for the annual Greek Festival and bake sale.

To all those that knew her she was a kind, compassionate and generous soul. She was a doting grandmother, loving mother,sister, aunt and a loyal friend to many. She loved Greek dancing, gardening, giving hugs and feeding people. She could turn strangers into friends easily and had a dynamic personality. Her strength was admired and she was loved by all.

Eva is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Faye and her husband George Perakis and their two sons Konstadinos and Judge Antonios of Athens Greece. Poppy Venetos and her late husband Emmanuel and their two children, Tina and her husband Kiriakos Tzortzis and their two sons of Rowley, MA and Demitri Venetos of Nashua, NH. Thanasi and Stephanie Liakos of Nashua and Rye NH and his four children, Christina Liakos and partner Vasili Tsimoyianis and their daughter of Gardiner, New York. Ariana and her husband Matt Morris and their 3 children of Abington, MA and Margo and Dean Liakos of Nashua, NH.

Relatives and friends are invited to Eva’s visitation on WEDNESDAY, November 9th from 10 until 11 AM in St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will be held in the church at 11 AM and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua.
