Marie M. (Mann) Duffey

Sep 24, 2022

Marie M. (Mann) Duffey, age 91, of Nashua, formerly of Waltham, Massachusetts, passed away on Sept. 14, 2022, in Manchester, New Hampshire, after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Francis J. Duffey, who died Nov. 30, 2011.

She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 14, 1931, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Murray) Mann. She attended Rosary Academy in Massachusetts.

She was a communicant of The Parish of The Resurrection in Nashua.

Prior to her retirement in 1994, she worked as an accounts receivable clerk for Duffy’s Wholesale Tobacco for 10 years.

Marie’s primary joy in life was her family. They were everything to her. She was the central switchboard of the family, everything went through her and she loved it. She also loved trips with Frank, and her brother, John and his wife Mary. Bingo was another passion, but her faith was paramount, as were her lifelong friends. She also made a very special friend in her roommate for the last months, Jean.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Susan Duffey of Gilford, New Hampshire, John and Lorraine Duffey of Brooksville, Florida, and Kevin and Barbara Duffey of Medford, Massachusetts; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Mann of Nashua; and a son-in-law, Larry Capozzi. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her daughter, our beloved Peggy.
