Reinald (Rex) Emile Gaudette

Reinald (Rex) Emile Gaudette, 93, of Nashua, New Hampshire, and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, died peacefully in his sleep in Nashua on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022. Rex was born on April 24, 1929, to the late Emile and Eva (Hudon) Gaudette.

Rex attended local schools, Boston University and Lowell Technology Institute. He joined his father and siblings and ran the Buffet Restaurant on West Pearl Street and the Buffet Diner on Canal Street. In 1984, he retired from the restaurant business and became a New Hampshire real estate broker until 2001. After retiring, he and Bev bought a motorhome and toured the United States and parts of Canada. They eventually purchased a home in Palm Beach Gardens and spent several years there.

Rex is survived by his wife, Beverly (Greenleaf) Gaudette; his son, Ron and daughter-in-law Vicki of Barstow, California; his daughter, Marie and son-in-law Richard McDermott of Hollis, New Hampshire; his daughter, Teri and son-in-law Matt Gerlach of Hollis; his sister, Emily Drouin of Bow, New Hampshire; three granddaughters, Amy, Tasha and Laura); four great-grandchildren, Katheryne, Justin, Dayanara and Julianna; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rex was preceded in death by his sisters, Yolande and Gloria; brother, Maurice; granddaughter, Shannon; and great-grandson, Georgie.

Relatives and friends are invited to Rex’s visitation on SUNDAY, Sept. 18, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. His funeral Mass will be on MONDAY, Sept. 19, 2022, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua.
