Kevin Daniel Teeboom

Sep 10, 2022

Kevin Daniel Teeboom, age 64, passed away peacefully on Aug. 16, 2022, from complications of diabetes. He was born in Oahu, Hawaii, and lived in Iowa, California, Ohio and Florida before settling down in New Hampshire in 1972.

Kevin joined the U.S. Army at age 17 during the end of the Vietnam War and served as a recovery specialist. After the Army, he spent the majority of his career in the catering business as a specialty cook, but also was gainfully employed as a jack of all trades.

Kevin played several instruments, especially the harmonica, and excelled in football, baseball and chess. At 6-feet, 7-inches tall, no one messed with “Magilla.”

Kevin spent 24 years in AA. He volunteered on the board of directors of Halfmoon Soberfest in New Hampshire and Sober-in-the-Sun in Massachusetts. He also sponsored numerous people in rehab. Kevin obtained guardianship of Amanda Peno when she was a teenager, and loved her as his own daughter. Her children, Ashton, Allarie, Astoriah and Ariah were Papa’s treasured grandchildren, whom he loved with all of his heart.

Kevin always was the sweetest guy in the room, full of love and encouragement in spite of his increasingly debilitating medical condition. His usual observation was, “it’s all good.”

His survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Cady) Teeboom, of 33 years; mother, Janice (Steenhoven) Teeboom; father, Fred Teeboom; and four siblings, Ryan with wife Cindy, Troy, Tiffany Lee with husband Brian, and Tyson. Kevin was the proud uncle of two nieces and three3 nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

A service with military honors will be at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire, on Sept. 19, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend; please arrive 15 minutes early.
