Lucille Theresa Connell

Lucille Theresa Connell passed away peacefully on Aug. 1, 2022, at 97 years old.

She was born on June 2, 1925, in Nashua, to her parents Joseph Antonio Dumont and Bessie Helen (Dumont) O’Neil (Haskins).

Lucille lived in Hudson, New Hampshire, for more than 67 years with her husband, Philip John Connell, who predeceased her in 1980.

She graduated from Nashua High School on June 25, 1943.

Lucille then went to Western Union School in Washington, New Jersey, and received her diploma on March 24 1945, as a ‘teleprinter operator’ and worked from 1945 to 1980.

After retirement, she went on to work baking for the Sisters at Rivier College in Nashua, where she made good friends and had a lot of fun for many years.

She loved parades, swimming, bowling on a league, digging for clams at the beach, baking, reading, doing puzzles, watching game shows, traveling, going for long car rides and spending time with family and friends. Her family was her greatest pride and joy.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Mary E. (Connell) Moore and her husband Richard of Merrimack, New Hampshire; and her son, Philip J. Connell of Hudson.

Grandchildren Glenn A. Moore and his wife Lynda of Tennessee, Amy (Connell) St. Ours and her husband Scott of New Hampshire, Kevin Connell and his wife Laura of Connecticut, Heather (Moore) Lloyd and her husband Dennis of New Hampshire.

Great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Connell, Matthew St. Ours, Aiden A. Moore, Ian Connell, Emily Connell, Violet Lloyd & Hazel Lloyd.

Great-greatgranddaughter Mina Connell.

Lucille was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Allen Dumont and his son Robert (Bob) A. Dumont in 2011 and 2021, respectively. Joseph is survived by his wife, Virginia, and Lucille’s several nieces.

The Rivet Funeral Home Inc. of Merrimack, New Hampshire, provided the arrangements and burial in the Connell Family plot at Sunnyside Cemetery in Hudson.

Lucille had wonderful, kind and caring people to help her during her last days and in lieu of flowers, if you wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Home Health & Hospice Care, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, N.H. 03054.
