Nute Merrill Aikens

Nute Merrill Aikens, 89, of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire. He was born on Jan. 8, 1933, in Georgia, the son of Jasper Aikens and Bonnie Aikens (Winter).

After Nute graduated high school in Georgia, he joined the U.S. Army, and was stationed at Fort Devens, leaving him to build his family here in New England. Nute was a Southern Baptist, and enjoyed building cars and spending time with his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife, Cecil Aikens (Petrain); and his son, Anthony Aikens. Nute is survived by his beloved partner of 18 years, Florence Levesque, his children, Curtis Aikens and Judy of Manchester, New Hampshire, Marie Aikens of Nashua, James Aikens and Ana of Nashua, Paul Aikens and Kathy of Nashua, and Stanley Aikens and Violet of Weare, New Hampshire. Nute also is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no public services.
