Thirza ‘Dianne’ Barron

Aug 27, 2022

Thirza “Dianne” Barron passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, in Brookfield, New Hampshire. Dianne was born in Boston on April 4, 1950, to Charles Samuel and Madelyn Patricia (Graves) Brown. Her childhood was spent between New Hampshire and Alabama. Seventy-two Cox St. in Nashua is where the family settled and called home. Dianne graduated from Nashua Senior High in 1968; she then attended Jefferson State Jr. College in Birmingham, Alabama until she met and married the love of her life, Edward D. Barron of Nashua in August 1970. Together, they raised their two daughters and eventually settled in Rochester, New Hampshire.

Dianne was a true homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, cooking and canning. She was known to set a fancy table, which often included a loaf of her famous homemade bread. It was always a special treat to receive a loaf of bread from Dianne. She took great pleasure in teaching her daughters these things.

To her nieces and nephews, she is “Aunt Diny,” known for her generosity, riding on “the roller coaster roads,” trips to the beach, brownies and mashed potatoes. To her grandchildren, she is “Grammy,” famous for her one-on-one “dates, trips to Josie’s sweet shop and the twinkle in her eye every time she was with them.

Dianne’s kindness extended to all who met her; she never knew a stranger, there was always a hot meal and a place to sleep if needed. Dianne truly enjoyed many hobbies and would spend hours putting together a handmade present that often included a personalized card, handmade quilt, a crocheted gift or a painted picture. Each gift was specially catered to the recipient.

Dianne was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward D. Barron; her father, Charles S. Brown; mother, Madelyn P. Brown (Graves); sister, Gloria V. Self (Brown); and brother, Charles S. Brown Jr.

Dianne is survived by her children, Kristin D. Murga and husband, Rick, and Koreen D. Eagan and husband, Christopher; sister, Deborah J. Merrill and husband, Dana, sister Patricia Green; sister-in-law, Sheila Brown; grandsons, Sam and wife, Gabby, Andrew and Jacob Smith; great-granddaughters, Charlotte, Keira and Isabelle. Dianne also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Although her time on Earth is done, we rejoice in knowing that she is with her Savior and loved ones preceding her in death. There is no more physical pain or sickness, and we will meet again.
