Alfred ‘Fred’ Norman Dussault

Alfred “Fred” Norman Dussault, 75, died peacefully on Monday morning, Aug. 22, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Carmen R. (Solines) Dussault, with whom he shared 18 years of marriage.

Fred was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Sept. 24, 1946, and was the son of the late Emilien Alfred and Rose Lea (Denis) Dussault. He was a longtime resident of Nashua and attended schools in the Nashua School District and was a graduate of Nashua High School with the class of 1966.

Following graduation from high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War until he was honorably discharged.

For more than 20 years, he was employed as a machinist at Nimco until his retirement.

In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting; traveling to various destinations often, but his favorite places to spend time were Ecuador, visiting his wife’s family, and Canada, to visit his extended family. Fred liked to take leisurely walks, and was always ready to try new things, especially when it came to culinary adventures. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his loving family who will deeply miss him.

In addition to his wife, Carmen, he is survived by his two children, Audrey Dussault and her wife, Anjie Schell, of Nashua and Alfred Dussault Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Hudson; his two step-children, Carlos Avila of Manchester and Maria Avila of Nashua; his seven grandchildren, Sarah Dussault, Ryan Dussault, Vanessa Avila, Natalia Avila, Noah Avila, Ian Chagcha and Adriel Chagcha. He also is survived by his two great-grandchildren, Catherine Russell and Kota Perez; his four siblings, Robert Dussault of Manchester, Paul Dussault and his wife, Jackie Nowlin, of Los Angeles, Roger Dussault and his wife, Linda, of Hollis, and Theresa Dussault and her partner, Arthur Kolocotronis, of Nashua; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Fred’s visitation on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. His funeral Mass will be on TUESDAY, Aug. 30, 2022, at 10 a.m. in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
