Edward O. Frothingham
Edward O. Frothingham, 78, died April 11, 2022, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Waltham, Massachusetts, on March 3, 1944, the son of the late Charles Mifflin and Helen Gelsey (Taylor) Frothingham. Ed grew up in Weston, Massachusetts, and was a long-time resident of Wayland, Massachusetts, and Sunapee, New Hampshire, until settling down in Hollis, New Hampshire.
In 1968, Ed started his own, successful business, Weston Electric. With the help and support of his family and local tradesmen, he grew the company until his retirement. Ed was a dedicated, hard worker, with great expectations and high standards. He was a loyal friend, always lending a hand to those in need, often at the drop of a hat.
Ed was involved in the Weston Rotary Club as a member and president. He was recognized and honored to be given the Paul Harris Fellow Award for his involvement and service to the club; an award he was very proud of. Ed enjoyed building houses as well as personal relationships. He built his home on Lake Sunapee, bringing numerous families together, teaching the young skills, to work hard, all while generating fond memories.
Members of his family include his beloved wife, Emily (Hayes) of Hollis; his brother, John A. Frothingham of Reno, Nevada; his beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ed will be missed by family and friends and remain in our hearts forever.
Family and friends may attend a celebration of life in Natick, Massachusetts, in September 2022.
