Florence Marie Schulmann

Florence Marie Schulmann, age 65, died July 1, 2022, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua. She was born on Nov. 26, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Dr.’s Marcel and Simone Schulmann. She grew up in Moorestown, New Jersey, and attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where she was one of three female students of mechanical engineering. She was highly accomplished in her work as an engineer and manager at Digital, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard, and later as an Agile Coach at Bottomline Technologies.

Throughout her life, Marie loved to travel for work and pleasure, enjoying many trips to Europe, Norway and Japan. She also enjoyed swimming, dancing and creating glasswork and pottery. Marie was always there for family and friends. When times were hard, she was the first to help out and offer support. She was generous and kind, even while facing her own challenges. She will always be remembered for her generosity, her beautiful smile and her amazing resilience.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Julia Metzler; sister Diana Glendinning and husband, John; brother George Schulmann and wife, Michelle; and nieces and nephews Courtney Pantle and husband, Nick, Dylan Glendinning, Michael Glendinning and Maria Schulmann.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH 03064. Friends and family are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua (https://www.hsfn.org/).
