Stephen Paul Dion

Stephen Paul Dion, 55, of Merrimack, NH died of natural causes on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Nashua, NH on March 19, 1967, son of Paul and Beverly Dion. He was raised in Hudson, NH and graduated from Alvirne High School in 1985.

Steve loved working on anything with an engine and spent many hours under the hood of his vintage Ford Mustang Cobra II. He was a skilled drywall contractor, and a naturally gifted artist and creator. To his friends, he was “Groovy” and the guy always willing to lend a hand. Despite constant pain from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident years ago, he never stopped creating. He found solace with his imaginative paintings and outrageous mechanical fabrications in the last years of his life.

Above all, he loved his family, friends and his beloved rescue dog, Roxy. His daughter Sarah Rose was his center and his love for her was immeasurable. He was proud to be Sarah’s Dad, and Enzo’s “Groovpa”.

Steve will be deeply missed and never forgotten by members of his surviving family; his daughter Sarah, precious grandson Enzo, parents Paul and Beverly of Deerfield, sister and confidant Kathi and her husband Jeff of Deerfield, brother Jason and his wife Jill of Barrington; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

Memorial visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Tuesday, May 24th from 4 – 7 PM. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
