Delma A. Langille

Delma A. Langille, 96, died peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Lowell General Hospital.

He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on April 20, 1926, and was the son of the late Gordon and Mary C. (Hilchey) Langille. He attended schools is the Raymond School System and was a graduate of Raymond High School and continued his education at Keene State College, graduating with his bachelor’s degree and attained his Master’s Degree from Boston University.

He proudly served his country in the United State Navy during WWII until he was honorably discharged.

He was employed as a teacher for Alvirne High School for a few years and later worked at Nashua High School for 32 years until his retirement. Delma also owned and operated Langille Driving School which later became Nashua Driving School.

Delma was a member of the Retired Teachers as well as Keene State Alumni. In his free time, he enjoyed playing card games especially “4-7’s” or “Chicken.” He also loved wood working and maintain the upkeep on his rental properties he owned. Delma found great joy in traveling and visited many destinations throughout the country.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Marjorie Pauline Fischer of Nashua; his son, Lester Langille of Nashua; Marjoie’s children, Albert “Skip” Fischer, Daniel “Dan” Fischer and his wife Susan, and Mark Fischer; their children, Autumn, Evelyn, and Chase; as well as his two nephews, Allen and Russell.

Delma was predeceased by his son Neil Langille; Marjorie’s granddaughter Alyssa Fischer; as well as his brothers, Lloyd and Earl Langille.

Relatives and friends are invited to Delma’s visitation on FRIDAY, May 27th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
